WHAT WEEK?

13


HOW BIG IS THE BABY?

Size of a Peach 🍑 ! (about 8.7cm / weighing 43g)


WHATS NEW THIS WEEK?

Announced my pregnancy on social media... so now everyone knows!!!

Which was very exciting and daunting at the same time!

It is so nice to not have to keep it a secret anymore though and to let myself be excited and let go of a lot of the first trimester worries.


MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT

Feeling SOO exhausted. Maybe from being sick or doing too much for Christmas and putting too much pressure on myself. Maybe also from all the unhealthy food and rich deserts, but I’m not feeling great. I have been eating very plain things throughout the first trimester to keep the nausea at bay, so all the rich food must be a lot for my stomach and baby!

Super nauseous and so much morning sickness and complete exhaustion and fatigue. I feel drained. Happy to just rest and get back to eating healthy and feeling more myself. Missed my mom a lot over the festive season too which was quite challenging (I'm sure it will always be a little difficult, but hopefully with time things will get easier.)

I have never felt more comforted about missing my mom since baby came along, in a way I feel closer to my mom somehow and I feel happy again.

Some say new life makes losing life easier somehow... the circle of life I suppose. <3

(Peak all the fine hair starting to grow on tummy ;) from the hormones hehe)


MOST EXCITING MOMENT

It’s Christmas this week and we are having family over at us. I always LOVED Christmas and I've always been a child at heart of the festive seasons. I'm excited to host our very first Christmas.

I’ve also started to feel a hard bump! So cool, Trav says it looks like an alien 👽


STARTING WEIGHT?

EXERCISE?

Went on 2 walks at the park.

But now, with the new lockdown rules, the parks have been closed for the next 2 weeks 😞

REFLECTIONS?

This week went by really quickly. I have really started to feel a hardened, uneven mass at the bottom of my tummy which I’m so excited about. It must be baby and uterus or maybe even the placenta?.

Only two weeks left until my next scan and I can see baby again. YAY!!!

I’ve been feeling really nauseous and tired again, but I have been sleeping A LOT, which is great.

News on Corona Virus hasn’t been too good at the moment. Which is worrying. But we are just isolating the best we can and staying as safe as possible.

Trav got my cold/flu that I had last week and he’s been down for the count! So I’ve just been looking after him and taking to opportunity to just lie on the couch and watch movies while he sleeps. Which has been amazing because I have been completely exhausted!!!
