Pregnancy Week 19

Week 19 Pregnancy Vlog

WHAT WEEK?

19

HOW BIG IS THE BABY?

Size of an mango šŸ„ (about 25.6cm / weighing 300g) (and ive been eating mangos!šŸ˜¬

WHATS NEW THIS WEEK?

Went for chiro and it made my lower back pain fee much better.

Felt baby kick for the first time! Against my tummy.

Leg cramps. And hip pain.

Did some pregnancy shoots this week which was fun to connect with other preggy ladies.

Fell asleep on my right side and woke up in such pain in my stomach.

My sleep has been so bad. Iā€™m tired and fatigued, but not tired enough to sleep. Disrupted sleep, insomnia, just lying awake and feeling too wired to sleep. I have been wanting to clean and nest and get things done and get frustrated when I canā€™t. I want to relax but my mind always want to be doing things.

Really canā€™t hide my tummy anymore

MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT

Very out of breath!!!

Hunger pangs. Even after eating!

Hip pains, itā€™s painful deep in my hips.

This week Iā€™ve felt really tired and my stomach has been really itchy!

MOST EXCITING MOMENT

Trav felt baby kick for the first time which was just so beautiful. šŸ˜ We were watching tv and I could feel baby moving around in there so I grabbed Travā€™s hand and baby gave him a good solid kick.

Iā€™m just so looking forward to meeting my baby.

Trav saw I was having bad week and booked me an appointment to go get my nails done and took me out for dinner. Which was so sweet of him and made me feel so nice about myself. Iā€™ve been feeling really overwhelmed by covid and isolating. And really out of sorts.

STARTING WEIGHT?

56kg

CURRENT WEIGHT?

60.9kg

EXERCISE?

Walking

But no toning. And I can tell my muscles have all dissipated and I really need to get back into it especially to keep me mentally happy. But the flab and weight gain in other areas of my body (not just tummy) is not a great thing either šŸ™ˆšŸ¤£

My tummy isnā€™t very hard yet. Itā€™s just soft and flabby. šŸ„°

MEALS?

Trying to eat a bit healthier. But also had pancakes, pasta, avocado toast, Iā€™m certainly not afraid of carbs and big hearty meals, I always have a big appetite, but my hunger certainly has increased in pregnancy.

REFLECTIONS?

The way the human body is capable of change is amazing.. Iā€™m in awe. Always. (Also donā€™t be fooled by Instagram and photo angles) the human body is an amazing thing, and pregnancy isnā€™t always pretty and fun (constant nausea, mood swings, flab, massive and constant hunger, cravings and weight gain, acne, fatigue/ no energy), but itā€™s honestly the best, most raw and honest journey Iā€™ve been on yetšŸ˜ it allows you to meet yourself on the most fundamentally human and spiritual level possible- if you let it... it brings so much calm, so much wisdom and just appreciation for the very essence of life itself. Itā€™s a miracle at work and your body is the vessel for growing new life. Iā€™m so proud of my body for carrying and providing for another life for the past 135 days, baby itā€™s been amazing getting to know you from the inside and canā€™t wait to get to love you eternally when youā€™re outšŸ„°šŸ˜

Iā€™ve also been trying to catch babyā€™s movements on video but itā€™s juuuuusttttt too soon to see in the vid. Feeling you move and kick is my favourite part and no one could have prepared me for that feeling . šŸ˜šŸ„°šŸ„°šŸ„°
