Hi! I'm Alex.

I live in Johannesburg, Gauteng with my littles, Ellie, Charlie, and my hubs, Trav.

Ellie is named after our dog, Ellie. And Charlie is not named after Nugget, our other dog.

Our happy place is at home or anywhere sandy (preferably an island).

I've carried a camera on me since forever. I do this because it’s what i’ve always done and what I've always wanted to do. Create art and babies. I was always the kid looking through the family albums. Reading romance novels. Entering photography comps at school with my mom’s old camera. Wishing all my dolls would become real so that I could have 5 real babies.

I graduated with honours in fine art and went traveling for a year (camera in hand). Then finally bought my very own real big daddy camera and turned it into a business. That was 8 years ago now.

The only other sure thing that I knew I wanted to be was a mama. I've been waiting to be a mom basically since I was 6 haha. So I paired my passion with my other passion and here we are. I get to spend my days playing with my babies in the garden while photographing all things motherhood, babies, birth, love stories, romance and family...

My heart is in the gritty, the vulnerable and all the emotion. I’m not here for the perfect photo. I’m here for the photos with soul.
